The revolution has begun

The (somewhat) failed experiment

To fully understand what I am about to do in this save I must tell you what I already did in another save. History is good to learn so we don’t repeat the mistakes that were already made :)

So, a few months ago I started a save with Bayern Munchen. After the 4th season I got bored and a little frustrated. I won the league in the first 2 season, but narrowly lost it in the last 2 seasons. Didn’t manage to win Champions League in that time.

I almost quit that save but an idea emerged from the dark corners of my mind. In those 4 seasons I scouted madly and gotten quite a large number or newgens, hot prospects for the future. What I did is I sold all the players in my team, except the newgens of course. When I say all, I mean ALL of them. Made the club the second richest in the world (after Barcelona), I’ve managed to sell almost half a billion worth of players.

Therefore I played my 5th season only with newgens. Only a very few of those had some first team experience, most of them did not. Guess what happened? The club expected me to win the title but I finished 16th. That place in for relegation playoff. After a tough 2 games I managed to seal our place in Bundesliga. I did not get fired, that’s because of the wages, I had shit loads of cash at my disposal. My wages dropped from around €2M p/w for the whole team to Є160k p/w.

The next season after that, 6th season, I finished in the 5th place with the same team. I won the title and the Cup in the next other 3 seasons after that and Champions League 2 times in a row in the last 2 seasons. All with the same players.

Viva la revolution!

If you read my Tips for Youth Development guide you know that what I did with Bayern is a big NO-NO! :) Youngsters have to be slowly introduced to the team and not all at once obviously. You sell your first team players after young ones develop and get some play time

This was my team before I started selling players. Hope that you can understand why I do what I do.

I decided to stay at Leverkusen for at least 3 seasons more (including the one that just started). In this time I hope to win the Champions League at least once and to replace most of my players with newgens. Hopefully, after these 3 seasons Leverkusen will be ranked first in the European Club Rankings.

As you can see I only bought newgens this season and sold some of my first team players. Unfortunately Bundesliga is not rated too well so I didn’t get too good prices for them. I will not repeat the mistake I did with Bayern, but still I’m taking some risks. I know I am going against what I say in my guide but I want to spice up the save a little :D

The newgens

After all that text I’ll let the pictures do the talking now. Without further ado, here are my newgens (so far).

You must understand, they will get play time. My tactic is demanding on players and they just can’t play 2 games per week, I have to rest them now and then.

Wrap-up

So, wish me good luck guys. Hopefully I didn’t screw up the save :)

what’s your longest save ever? i tell, you get attached with these players, taking care of them since they were children and seeing them develop into world class players

Ludovic Lescure, Hector Gonzales, Juan Robles, Nicholas Machado are just a few newgens from my previous saves that I liked even more then the likes of Hazard, Neymar or Ganso.. i was like a father to them :P

i really hope you don’t loose interest in my story… at least not before me =))

well, I have the likes of Adler, Pastore, Schurrle and Torje, they will probably be the last ones to go. (I know I said i’ll sell Pastore, but I like the lad :P )

I won sign any big names, i won’t stray from my wage policy, I want to make big names, raise them myself :D
